8 Iron on Patches including 1 Large DTF

Step-by-Step DTF Pressing Instructions

1. Preparation

  1. Lint Roll: Thoroughly roll the pressing area on your garment to remove hair, lint, and loose fibers.

  2. Pre-Press: Heat press the blank garment for 3 to 5 seconds at 300∘F−325∘F300^\circ\text{F} - 325^\circ\text{F} (150∘C−160∘C150^\circ\text{C} - 160^\circ\text{C}). This flattens the area and releases hidden moisture from the fabric.

2. First Press (Bonding)

  1. Position the DTF transfer face-up on the garment in your desired spot.

  2. Cover the transfer with a sheet of parchment paper or a teflon sheet.

  3. Press according to film specifications:

    • Temperature: 300∘F−325∘F300^\circ\text{F} - 325^\circ\text{F} (150∘C−160∘C150^\circ\text{C} - 160^\circ\text{C})

    • Pressure: Medium-to-Firm (40−50 PSI40 - 50\text{ PSI})

    • Time: 12 to 15 seconds

3. Peeling the Film

  • Cold Peel (Standard): Remove the garment from the press and allow it to cool completely to room temperature. Smoothly peel the clear film off starting from one corner.

  • Hot Peel (If specified by film manufacturer): Peel the film immediately within 2–3 seconds after pressing while still hot.

4. Second Press (Finishing)

  1. Place parchment paper or a teflon sheet over the exposed transfer design.

  2. Press a second time for 5 to 8 seconds at the same temperature and pressure.

    • Parchment paper provides a matte, soft-hand finish.

    • Teflon sheet provides a slightly glossy finish.

Garment Care Instructions

  • Wait 24 hours before washing the pressed garment.

  • Machine wash inside-out in cold or warm water with mild detergent.

  • Air dry or tumble dry on low heat.

  • Do not use bleach or fabric softeners, and do not iron directly over the print.
